PEARSON LUCKETT GREER (May 21, 2009)

PICTURES!!! FINALLY!!!

We made it home from the hospital on Sunday and have been doing good! My recovery has been fine... just a little slower pace than I'm used to. Maddox has adjusted beautifully to having his baby brother home. He didn't like leaving him each night at the hospital. He never asked why I couldn't home he only wanted to know why his baby brother couldn't come home. My mom has been here day and night which has helped tremendously! Pearson has been a fabulous baby so far! We had to take him back to the hospital yesterday because he only wants to eat every 4 hours and only eats for about 10-15 minutes. He is NEVER fussy, but I was concerned he wasn't getting enough milk. When he left the hospital he weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. Yesterday he weighed 7 lbs even so he's getting what he needs! The nurse said I must just have a very laid back baby!!!!! For those of you who know Maddox know I DESERVE this!!!

These are some of the pictures from the day he was born. I will be adding more later of us coming home and the first bath. BEWARE::: LOTS OF POSTS TO FOLLOW!

On our way to the hospital! Maddox's last morning as an only child!

HE'S HERE!!

Stephen and I are proud to announce the birth our 2nd son.....

PEARSON LUCKETT GREER!
7 lbs 7 oz
20 1/4 inches long
11:05 am
I was scheduled for a c-section at 1:00 today. My OB called this morning at 9:00 and asked if I could be there earlier because her case I was following was going to take a while. Of course I said SURE!!! I got to the hospital at 9:30, they rolled me back at 10:30 and he was delivered at 11:05! It is all a big blur, but we now have the most precious, healthy baby (I'm a little biased).

Maddox came up with my sister and he did great! We'll see about tomorrow, but if it goes like today we're going to be ok!

I wanted to thank everyone for the calls, texts, facebook messages, and most importantly prayers! We are giving all the honor and glory to God! I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them downloaded.

and his name shall be....

PEARSON LUCKETT GREER!
(called: Pearson)
This has been a very hard pregnancy and so very different from my pregnancy with Maddox! My actual due date is June 4th but due to my insane labor I had with Maddox, my dr. scheduled an induction/c-section for May 26th. I began having Braxton Hicks many, many weeks ago and then started having terrible back pain last week that lasted 4 days. I finally decided to call the dr. thinking I could possibly be having back labor. I went in for a check and was, of course, wrong. I ended up discussing all the "problems" I've been having and she decided to move my delivery date up to May 21st! Due to the fact he is a white male she doesn't want to intentionally take him any earlier than 38 weeks so she is going to take him at 38 weeks. We are not sure at this point if it will be an induction or c-section. I will have an ultrasound on Thursday (4/7) to check the weight and we'll make a more educated decision then. I have a lot of mixed emotions about both so I will praying a lot between now and then!!!!

So.... unless he has a mind of his own (like his big brother) and decides he wants out earlier, he will be here on May 21st!!!!!!!! We are so excited yet nervous because we have forgotten everything! Hopefully it will all come back to us once he's here screaming at us! I'll continue to post updates!

HE IS RISEN!

He is risen from the dead and He is Lord.
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
Easter 2009

gifts from the Easter Bunny!
The Easter Bunny brought Maddox 2 dwarf frogs for pets. They are both male and live in this little aquarium with a snail that keeps it clean. He named the frogs Dora & Diego and the snail is Boots!

Egg Hunting Again!

Sharea, Dawn, Jennifer, & Stephanie's playgroup has been so gracious to include Maddox and I in their festivities since we moved back. For Easter we had an egg hunt at Bitsey's (Sharea's mom) house and then followed it with a picnic. We drew names and the kids exchanged Easter happies... it was so much fun!

All the kiddos waiting patiently at the door!

Wouldn't you love to be a fly and hear this conversation!?!
