We're Going on a Deer Hunt!

Stephen, Maddox, Mike, & Alexa Kate took off for the "hunting land" on Saturday morning. They were going to ride in the golf cart and "look" for some deer.

dressed for the occasion..... boots and all!

First Day at Trinity Pre-School

Friday, August 23rd was Maddox's first day at Trinity Pre-School! He had a great day and did great when I dropped him off. It's a small world... he ended up getting a friend of mine, Lauren Lester, for his teacher! I'm excited about a great year for him!
This picture looks like a mugshot...... such a boy!

Visitors from Augusta

On Wednesday, Maddox and I drove to Hattiesburg to pick up my dear friend, Elizabeth Gregg, and her two girls. Elizabeth and I became friends while we lived in Augusta. Her husband, Neal (from Hattiesburg), is an orthopedic resident at MCG. They have two little girls: Addie Dayne (20 months) & McKay (10 weeks).... and yes... you read that correctly!!! When Neal finishes residency they are moving back to Hattiesburg! Yeah for 1 1/2 hour drive instead of an 8 hour drive!!!!!!

Maddox and Addie Dayne had so much fun together. I was interested to see if they would remember each other or how they would act since it has been 3 months since they've seen each other. The first time they saw each they went crazy screaming! It was so cute! We can't wait to have them closer to us!

maddox was in love baby McKay!

Playing with Alex

Suzanne (Stephen's sister) & Alex came over this week for a quick playtime and lunch. Alex LOVES Maddox and it is precious!

Fun Times with Alexa Kate

This week little Sanders (our new neighbor) had to get tubes in his ears so Maddox and I took Alexa Kate to school. On Thurday night, Mike & Carrie went to a dinner party to we kept AK & Sanders for them. We got some great pictures this week of AK & Maddox having a good time!

She just wanted to put her around him!`1

She is so funny!!
On another note.... Elizabeth, Addie Dayne, & McKay Gregg are coming to visit us next week!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited?!? We haven't seen them since we left Augusta in June so I'm thrilled! Can't wait to post some pictures from that trip! HMMMM.... Buckler's.... you're next!!!!

Natural Science Museum

Dawn, Sharea, & I took the kids to the Mississippi Natural Science Museum to see the dinosaur exhibit! Maddox was a little unsure at first, but then he LOVED it.

We had to make Stephen proud!

Jett & Maddox

WOW!!!!

Geyser Falls

For those of you who frequent our blog you know that Maddox's best friend (sometimes called his "sister") in Augusta was a little girl (Alli) that was 11 months older than him. We feel that God has not replaced Alli, but simply filled a void for Maddox. We have been blessed to move in next door to a family with a little girl that is 9 months older than Maddox. Their names are the Ainsworths (Mike, Carrie, Alexa Kate, & Sanders). Alexa Kate and Maddox play so well together and we have already had some really good times!

Last Thursday, Carrie invited Maddox and I to go the Geyser Falls with some friends from their church. We were also joined by Lucy and Mary Gaston Blair. Although Maddox was having one of "his days" it was a lot of fun.... that place is Awesome!!!!!!

Dinner with the Grubbs Family

We went to The Cock of the Walk with Clay, Dottie, Clayton, and Stewart Grubbs. The boys wanted to feed the ducks and I attempted to get some pictures, but wasn't very successful.

OH NO HE DIDN'T.... OH YES HE DID!!!!

Trip to Target for Sharpie marker: $20.00
Sharpie Marker: $4.00
Your son painting himself and the counter top with that Sharpie: PRICELESS

Yes... I had to step out of the kitchen for a minute while Maddox finished his breakfast. I heard him say, "Mommy, come here". It was a very excited voice like he had something to show me. Boy... did he ever!!! When I gotthere this is what I found. I only got pictures of him and not my island counter top (which is stained wood by the way) because I stood there and panicked!

Maddox & Maddie

We were having a lazy day at home and Maddie kept wanting to snuggle with Maddox. This is such a rare occasion so I made sure to document it!
Sweet, slobbery dog kisses!
