Mother of the Year.... I've given it up again!

I think I'm going to have forfeit my Mother of the Year award again because I'm realizing it's been too long since I posted about our sweet baby boys! So.... I hope you have a while to look... lots of pictures included!!!!

Pearson is doing GREAT!!!! He has put himself on a pretty good schedule already. During the day he eats every 3 hours, stays awake about an hour to hour and a half, then naps. He falls asleep without crying (very different from Maddox) and sleeps through anything! He goes to bed "for the night" around 7 or 8. He still wakes up every three hours during the night, but goes right back to sleep after eating. We're tired, but we know it could be a lot worse! So.. I'm not complaining! Maddox is still adjusting really well. He LOVES his baby "bruder", which he doesn't call Pearson, but Pearson Luckett. I was so anxious about him adjusting and had to pray a lot. I definitely feel God answered my prayers and calmed my worries about it. I'm aware that things could change, but so far so good. As far as his look go... he looks NOTHING like Maddox (except for his mouth). He actually looks A LOT like my brother, Jake. We have had multiple, multiple people tell us that. Pearson has very almond shaped eyes which makes him look like my family.

The transition from one to two has been quit interesting for me. There have been times that I felt so stupid, like I had never had a baby before. It's all a matter of figuring out how to get schedules coordinated. I called Britt, who is my brain and helps me think through situations logically. She told me that as soon as I figured things out the baby would change and I would have to think it through again. She also reminded me that when she had her #2 that she called me asking the same questions I'm asking her. I don't remember that, but it did make me feel better (Britt... if you were lying just let me keep believing it!).

We have been blessed to have so much help from friends and family. I cannot thank everyone enough for the dinners, gifts, help with Maddox, and most importantly prayers! When I am tired or frustrated I constantly remind myself how blessed we are that God chose us AGAIN to raise one of his precious children!

Ha ha ~ TOLD YA!! Miss Em, I believe I told you from DAY ONE that Pearson looks like Jake, and you were in denial! :) To me, it has always looked like Jake spit him out of his mouth. :) You Lamberts have some strong genes ~ good thing, because he (like Maddox!) is absolutely precious!! These are some great pictures!! Keep 'em coming....
